What…?

What you see above is an online version of a zombie simulation, a world laid out with no escape, a world where zombies infect and humans fight back. You might not grasp what’s going on quite yet, but soon you will understand everything. Healthy humans are purple, though humans who have seen a zombie panic and turn a lighter shade. There is a green building on some of the maps; this building is called The Armory. It is there that healthy humans can grab weapons to kill the zombie menace, at which point they turn green. Zombies, and their sickness, are white. Welcome to the simulation.

What is the ZombieSim?

ZombieSim is not just an iPhone port of an addictive zombie invasion simulation. It adds new features, a new level of control, a higher state of interaction. The same sophisticated technology used in the original simulations remains as ever, but we’ve given you the chance to fight back, to drop bombs on areas where the infection is out of control.

You now get to see how many people are alive, how many are dead, and how many are undead. Each bomb you drop changes the landscape, destroying humans, zombies, and buildings alike. And the cities? While still randomly generated, you have control over how they are created, how many zombies start the game, how many potential victims there might be.

And when the game is over, you can see how long it took for one side to become victorious. With Twitter support, ZombieSim can help you share the simulation’s statistics with your friends. Who can have the simulation last the longest? Who can have it be the shortest? Who has no idea what you’re talking about? Try to be prepared for questions.
